President’s Competition 2 ball scramble

PASS SANITAIRE required or a PCR test taken within 48 hours. Covid conditions to be respected at all times.
The event will be limited to 50 people for the meal due to current conditions so 24 teams of 2 for the competition. A quick reminder that to enter you will need an up to date medical certificate. Cost – 20 euros for members and 45 for non- members including the meal.
Format : Two Person SCRAMBLE,
Handicaps will be set at a maximum of 30 for ladies and 28 for men.
Given the number of teams play may be a little slower so please make every effort to keep your speed up and respect the slow play rules regarding searching for balls etc.
Sign Up at the clubhouse – sign ups will be closed at 8pm on Thursday the 2nd of September. Ideally sign up as a two ball team but for those of you needing a partner we can organise the teams for you. The departs will be organised on the Saturday morning. Please help us by not having any last minute cancellations where possible.
Shotgun start 13.30pm 13pm – 1315pm there will be a quick briefing, prize giving will take place at 18.30 and a meal will be served from 7pm. In the event of extreme temperatures we may move the timings around.
Longest drive: Men from holes N° 1 and 10 for the 2° and 3° series ( handicaps more than 16.), from holes N°3 and 12 for 1st series (handicaps 16 or lower); and ladies from hole N°4 and 13 and closest to the pin everyone from hole N° 6 and 15.
Prizes : Top five teams, 1 prize for the best female and male drives, and 1 prize for the closest to the pin and various other raffle prizes.
Local Rules
Placing permitted only on the fairways. On hole 1 if your ball is in front or in- line with the electric fence and your swing is affected by it, you are permitted a free drop to your nearest point of relief, which must not be closer to the hole. If your ball is beyond the fence it is out of bounds (you should consider a provisional ball to avoid an additional penalty.)
